You’ve just got to love Lasagna! Well, I do, and my secret ingredient for this Lasagna Recipe is to add MILK into the bolognese. It’s great for making the sauce really creamy, and it really enhances the flavour.

And if you have any leftover, you can whip up a Spaghetti Bolognese Recipe the next day in minutes.

Enjoy,

Warren.

Its the Italian classic and it’s here as our Recipe for the Weekend.  Download the Recipe for Spaghetti Bolognese.  It’s so simple to do and tastes FANTASTIC.  You can’t buy this in a jar!

So its been quiet a redundant appliance in our kitchen, so I decided to wipe off the cobwebs and give it a whirl…  and what a result!

I would probably stay clear of using “non-slow cooker”  recipes in one though.  On the first attempt, this is what I tried, but found the sauce was far too runny.  But on the most recent attempt, I found this great slow cooker recipe and changed it slightly as follows:

  • 1kg stewing meat
  • 4 carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 Beef Oxo Cubes

Fry the meat then lob everything in the slow cooker for 7-9 hours on low, you may have to put some corn flour in the mixture to thicken it slightly if runny at all.

Although it seems like a long time, I prepared everything before work (took 15 mins) and by the time I got home, dinner was ready – perfect stew!

Please comment if you have any great slow cooker recipes…
