Summer’s almost here and we can see you’re starting to check out our ‘Cooking on the BBQ’ guide.

I also blew the cobwebs off the barbecue this weekend for the first time in 2011 to cook a full-English.  If you thought you couldn’t beat a fry-up at the weekend, try it on the BBQ – you really can’t get better than that!

Anyway, I thought I’d divulge my top 3 tips for cooking on the barbecue in order to impress your guests, starting with the most important:

  1. Grilling should only be conducted with a beer in hand!
  2. Marinade your meats. You can make a simple marinade out of Beer/Tinned Tomatoes, Herbs, Garlic, Salt & Pepper.
  3. Make your own Burgers. They taste SO much better, and, it really doesn’t bear thinking about what goes into them, especially when you see how much drips out of them when their being cooked. Here is a recipe for Homemade Beef Burgers.

I hope I’ve provided some inspiration to get out in the garden and start grilling.
