  • 500g White Bread Flour
  • 7g Yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Caster Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Butter

Directions

You can't beat the smell of fresh, oven baked bread. So why not learn how to make bread in the oven? I bake this loaf using yeast and a few extra ingredients.

  1. Pour the Bread Flour, Yeast, Salt and Caster Sugar into a mixing bowl then briefly combine.
  2. Now add the Soft Butter and combine using your fingertips with the rest of the ingredients, until you’re left with fine crumbs.
  3. Add 300ml of Luke-warm Water and mix the ingredients together with a wooden spoon.
  4. When everything begins to clump together, roll out onto a clean surface and begin kneading for 10 minutes.
  5. When the dough is nice and smooth, place into a clean bowl and cover with a tea towel until doubled in size (taking up to 1 hour).
  6. After the proofing time, remove the dough and give it a brief knead. Make into the same shape/size as your bread tin then place in.
  7. Cover the bread tin with a tea towel and leave to proof again until doubled in size.
  8. Then place into a pre-heated oven on 180c for 30 minutes.
  9. When the bread is nice and golden, remove from the oven and leave to cool. Then enjoy the taste of freshly baked bread.
