Apple Pie Recipe
   Serves: 6 | Prep time: | Cooking time: 512 Calories & 24g fat per serving.
  • 4 Cooking apples
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 500g Shortcrust pastry
  • 2 tbsp Plain flour
  • 125g Caster sugar
  • Brush of Milk
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice

Directions

My easy apple pie recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving. It’s quick to prepare and made with fresh apples to make it super tasty.

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180c/350f.
  2. Core, peel and slice the apples into wedges. Then add to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice and flour. Mix everything together until combined.
  4. Roll the pastry out on a floured work surface then line a greased 28cm pie dish (saving the excess pastry for later).
  5. Fill the pie with the apple filling.
  6. Roll out the rest of the pastry for the top of the pie.
  7. Place the pie lid over the filling, secure down by running a folk around the edge and trim off any excess.
  8. Prick a few holes on top, brush with milk then bake in the oven for approx. 35 minutes.
  9. When golden on top, remove from the oven and serve.
