How to cook Salmon in a pan

Learn how to cook salmon in a pan and how you can fry it in its own oil for a lovely crisp finish. Try with my Salmon Salad recipe.

  1. Firstly, place a non-stick pan over a high heat on the hob and drizzle in some oil.
  2. When hot, carefully place your salmon fillet in the pan.
  3. Salmon gives off quiet a bit of oil, so if you have a good quality non-stick pan, you won’t need much oil beforehand.
  4. Keep flipping the salmon until it’s nice and golden and crisp on all sides.
  5. When cooked, checked the salmon is not raw in the middle and then serve.

Tip! Cooking a stir-fry? Use the oils from the salmon to fry the vegetables whilst keeping the salmon hot in aluminium foil.
