Directions

Native to Australia & New Zealand, my tasty anzac biscuits recipe has a chewy centre and are easy to bake in the oven. They’re a great homemade biscuit to quickly make for kids

  1. Preheat the oven to 180c / 350f.
  2. Add the porridge oats, desiccated coconut, flour, caster sugar and bicarbonate of soda to a mixing bowl. Mix briefly to combine.
  3. Melt the butter and golden syrup together in the microwave or in a saucepan.
  4. Pour the melted butter and golden syrup into the dry ingredients and combine.
  5. Whilst the butter is still warm, roll out 10 balls from the mixture and place onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof or parchment paper. Press each ball down gently.
  6. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, or until golden and flat like biscuits.
  7. Remove from the oven, leave to cool then enjoy.
